The Manor is situated five kilometres from the town centre of Figeac, which lies in the southern province of L’Occitane; it is a town rich in history.
Figeac’s history began in the 9th century when an abbey was first founded. Many buildings throughout the town show the architectural style of the ensuing centuries. The town gradually grew around the abbey, increasing economic development which brought prosperity. In the 12th century the business community developed a regular trade with towns all over France.

The region is also well known for relaxing outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting and hiking.
The famous StJacques de Compostelle trail makes its way through Figeac and meanders alongside the Manor (the GR65 and D922) where weary travellers could step off the road to stay the night or longer.
The Lot region is known for and offers many culinary specialities amongst which are nut and nut oils; goat and dairy products; truffles and wine to name a few.

Sleeping at the Manor

You will find sleeping at the Manor refreshing, as there is little artificial noise. From your bedroom you can overlook the meadow and forest across the valley. The Manor has an assortment of natural cotton sheets that will keep you warm. We have tried to keep the furniture original, changing as little as possible, to give you the experience of a French country lifestyle.
Eating at the Manor
Breakfast Service

Breakfast is included in room prices at no extra charge!
A traditional French breakfast with freshly baked breads and croissants from the local bakery. It is served with a selection of jams and local honey. The breakfast includes yoghurt and fruit. We will offer tea and/or coffee, caro (barley drink), hot chocolate and/or herbal tea.
If you prefer a low carbohydrate breakfast we can offer free-range local eggs (Moroccan style), quinoa and fruit.

If guests would prefer to take their evening meal at the manor a home cooked meal can be ordered (order should be placed before 17:00 of the day; ‘plat de jour’ 14 euro).
We offer a variety of cold non-alcoholic drinks, prices as advertised.
The local bakery is within walking distance and open Monday to Saturday 6:00 – 19:30. It has a variety of bread, patisseries, pizza and savoury tarts.
